Creating a smart object, will allow us to use Nik software’s Silver Efex Pro as a smart filter to add an interesting effect.

Textures

Lesson 3: Textures

Textures-Using concepts from Trey Ratcliff’s tutorials on textures, we will apply 3 different textures to create our effect.

Final

Lesson 4: Final touch

Applying a color adjustment layer, we add a tone to our image. As a final step, creating a new layer and filling it with 50% gray will allow us to dodge and burn our image producing an edge effect.
